Valentine’s Wrap Up: Bugs and Hands

Just wanted to share with you the Valentine’s we made for family this year. We didn’t have to make Valentine’s for school, but instead used these as party favors for folks who came to this weekend’s birthday party. We also mailed these to relatives who seemed to really appreciate them.

“I’m Buggy for You”

The bug’s belly was painted by our two year old. Then I added the rest. She sort of lost interest in the project, I’m hoping that as she gets older the Valentines can be more “all hers.”

Next up:  Our 1 year old put her hand print on each Valentine. We  wrote “I’ve got you in the palm of my hand” around the hand print. Then we rolled them up and tied with them with a ribbon.

Since we already had the craft supplies out, I also had our littlest finger paint on half sheets of construction paper  — so we had instant thank you notes for family who gave her gifts for her birthday. I like to keep a stash of  art and notes on hand.

Hope you had a lovely Valentine’s!

What did you make to celebrate this year?
